FAA Processes Update
James Scott, Director of FAA Programs at Capitol Airspace Group and Garrison C. Cavell, Senior Director of the Cavell-Mertz Spectrum division of Capitol Airspace
Representatives from the aviation consulting firm of Capitol Airspace Group will be speaking to us about the latest FAA processes and how they impact new construction proposals or changes in existing structures. We’ll also discuss timelines, expectations, required notification criteria, how to more effectively work with the FAA during the process, stumbling blocks, and other government agencies that get involved behind the scenes as a proposal proceeds down the processing path.
Capitol Airspace Group provides obstruction analysis, and strategic and advocacy services to tower proponents, airports, wind and solar farms, commercial developers, broadcasters, and communities around the world. Over the past 25 years, they have filed over 120,000 structure proposals with the FAA. Last year, Capitol merged with long-time colleague firm Cavell Mertz to expand its offerings in spectrum related matters.
