Manager of Television Engineering at
Electronics Research Inc. (ERI)
The AFCCE FCC Reception will be held the same evening. Please go here to register separately for this event.
A large number of Radio Frequency components are made of aluminum due to its availability, low cost, light weight, and electrical properties. The performance of coaxial transmission lines with aluminum outer conductors and copper inner conductors will be investigated. A comparison with an all copper transmission line will be presented as well as the historical use of aluminum RF components. Solving the issues of differential expansion and dissimilar metals will be examined.
