Advantages of Aluminum Transmission Line

A large number of Radio Frequency components are made of aluminum due to its availability, low cost, light weight, and electrical properties. The performance of coaxial transmission lines with aluminum outer conductors and copper inner conductors will be investigated. A comparison with an all copper transmission line will be presented as well as the historical use of aluminum RF components. Solving the issues of differential expansion and dissimilar metals will be examined.

Manuel Sone is currently the Manager of Television Engineering at Electronics Research Inc. (ERI), Chandler, Indiana. He is responsible for the television antennae product line, including the development of new products. Manuel started his 25 year career in RF engineering in the United States at ERI in 1991 where he was involved in the development of FM Master Antenna Systems at the Empire State Building, NYC, and the Prudential Building, Boston.

Networking starts at 11:45 AM with Lunch beginning at 12:30 PM

Luncheon meetings are open only to AFCCE members and their guests. The cost of the luncheon is $45.00 per person or $55.00 for reservations not received prior to the deadline.

Menu
The menu for the Luncheon is a choice of Breast of Chicken, Salmon or Stir-Fry Vegetables (vegan) for the main course along with Caesar Salad, Rice and Strawberry Mousse.
