2019 AFCCE Fall Social and Celebration of Life

Friday evening, October 25, 2019

This year in addition to our annual fundraiser for the AFCCE Scholarship Fund, we are having a Celebration of Life for our friend, mentor, and former AFCCE President Ronald D. Rackley.

Ron touched so many lives during his time with us and all who had a chance to meet or work with Ron truly benefited. Many members of the Rackley family will be joining us for this celebration and we hope that you will as well.

The dinner and celebration will be held at Joe Theismann’s Restaurant from 6 to 9 pm located at 1800A Diagonal Road, in Alexandria, VA.  Cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres will begin at 6 pm with Dinner served at 7.  Seating is limited, so please sign up early to assure your presence at this gathering of AFCCE members and guests in Celebration of the Life of Ron Rackley.  See below for making your reservations to the event.

As you know, the AFCCE Fall Social is the major fund-raising event for the 501(c)(3) AFCCE Scholarship Fund and both corporate and individual sponsorships are solicited to benefit the Fund.

The AFCCE Scholarship program has always been a very impactful activity of AFCCE, but its continued success relies on being able to sustain and bolster the scholarship fund. Each year the Scholarship Fund supports students enrolled in accredited engineering programs at universities throughout the country. Your support, both by your attendance and your sponsorship, will strengthen this important mission of the AFCCE. This year we are poised to award close to $60,000 in scholarships with your continued help.

After many years of holding the Fall Social at the Vantage Point Restaurant at the Rosslyn Holiday Inn, we looked for other venues at the request of membership.  Joe Theismann’s is a 2-minute walk from the King Street Metro in Alexandria (Blue & Yellow line).  The restaurant will validate parking for 3 hours in the King Street Station Garage (around the corner on Reinekers Lane) if you arrive after 5 pm.  After the 3-hour validation, One Parking will charge a flat rate for any additional time.

The cost of this year’s Fall Social is $135.00 per person, member or guest.  Scroll down to make your reservation and/or contribution, or send a check made out to “AFCCE Scholarship Fund” to:

Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers
P.O. Box 19333

Both corporate and individual sponsors are solicited for the AFCCE Fall Social to benefit the AFCCE Scholarship Fund. This year we are again accepting sponsorship levels of:

$250 – Silver Level

$500 – Gold Level

$1000 or more – Platinum Level
